A City By The Sea

Ever since I was little, I’ve always been drawn to the sea. Rivers are beautiful and lakes have their own charm, but nothing beats the variety of the sea with its waves, seagulls, boats and people walking by its shores, enjoying their coffees, ice creams and other treats not to mention each other.

Below are some of my favorite moments, when I was either completely lost in thought and something caught my attention or when I set out to look for some elements of and around the sea to take my mind off whatever was weighing on me.

Some recount moments of deep contemplation, others evoke memories of worlds lost and remembered through conversations, gestures or a feeling evoked through a tale (over)heard too many moons ago to completely remember, except for a sentence that – like the summer evening heat – seemed to linger forever.
